Aiming inward – as a further development of her exploration of the touch 'Body Metronome' unfolds as a performative reflection on the moment just before touch. Inspired by the image of a person walking ahead with a musical instrument on their back—its form echoing that of a human body—the work approaches the instrument as an extension of the body, part of their being and consciousness.
Performative actions trace the intimacy moment between touch and its absence. The presence of touch is perceptible, yet its absence awakens a longing for it—generating a tension that resonates through the bodies of the audience.
“I imagine the body as a metronome—marking time not through sound, but through sensation. The instrument becomes a second body, and the space between bodies begins to pulse. I am interested in the moment before touch, where anticipation stretches time.”
